Not sure yet if it's just for this one problem I need to deal with, or if it will be ongoing.

So I've noticed that there's a big difference between being smart, and being able to get yourself out of bed everyday. Unfortunately, it's the people who manage to get themselves out of bed everyday who wind up making a lot of money.
I don't know if it's because I'm pregnant, or still learning to be friends with food after 8 years of being anorexic, but I can't sleep until I tell everyone how much I like sushi.
I really like sushi.
I really really like sweet potato sushi (idaho rolls) (sooo not japanesey). It's so great to eat with other sushi, because other sushi is cold and squishy, and this is warm and crunchy (because they fry the sweet potato before they roll it) and it's so nommy...
So, yes. I really like sushi.
Also, one time early in pregnancy I really wanted to tell everyone "OMFG I REALY FUCKIN LOVE CORN FLAKES!!!!!". I didn't, though. I haven't had corn flakes in years, so maybe it's my imagination, buy I still think I may really effing love corn flakes.
Mk, it's almost 3 am. I need to try more sleeping.

Hola Amigos
How's everyone's shark week going?
Doctor today went well. I gained three pounds! Wooot! That's 5 pounds in 8 weeks. Not at all ideal, but at least I'm not stuck not gaining anything anymore. Ainsley's in a Transverse Lie position, instead of just plain breech. Not good, but she still has a couple weeks before the doctor will get concerned, and 5 weeks until she'll want to do something about it. Amiee's been making up songs telling Ainz to turn. Been having a lot of pelvic pain that's making it hard to walk. I'm hoping that'll get at least a little better when she turns and I don't have alll her weight right on each hip.
Started doing "Preparing to Birth" classes barefoot at a place in Bedford. The lady who teaches them is a doula, and is very nice. She explains things visually, which is fun.
Mmm yeah, what else...
Been adventuring with Darcie a lot, since she'll be moving back to Mass soon. Went to Plum Island and adventured on Saturday, and on Tues we went swimming with Amiee and Ben and go pizza and went to Arms park and had a photo shoot. It's been fun. I'm tooootally exhausted, though.
I was just Facebook invited to a party in the Dominican Republic. Gonna have to write "not attending"...
I had VIP tickets to Jason Mraz for last night, but I had a PTB class and couldn't go. I gave the tickets to Darcie, and she brought Tara, Scott, and one of Scott's apparently super annoying friends. They seemed to have a good time. I think I would've been too tired there to really enjoy it. Still want to see him live sometime, though.
I'm allergic to orange juice. :-(

Hi, Homiez.
Let's see...
I don't have diabetes. Hurray! My insulin production is slow, but my little pancreas is able to get the job done in the end. Just have to eat small meals and not have too many carbs/sugars at one time. That's about how I eat anyway, so I'm good.
Doctor yesterday went well. Aside from the anemia, supine hypotensive syndrome, braxton hicks contractions, seemingly total inability to gain weight, and morning sickness that went away just in time to be replaced by nausea caused by iron supplements, I'm doing A-OK. Ainsley's breech right now, but there's still plenty of time to turn. I'm going to be so happy when I have little feet getting stuck under my ribs instead of her head.
My chap stick smells like candy, and Elvis keeps trying to lick it off. Ewies.
My family members are far too addicted to Farm Town on Facebook. It's almost getting to WOW levels. Ha, that's a lie. They have more sense than to stay up til 6 in the morning playing it when they have to be up at 8... days and days in a roooowwww....... hm? I'm not bitter... (fuck yes I am) (A bunch of world of warcraft action figures were staring at me. I had to turn them around because they're scary looking).
Oh my god this is so cool:

Dear Emmy,
Ben doesn't post much on LJ anymore. So I has nothing to read. Therefore, I would like you to post more because I like your posts. Thanks.
-Amiee :-D
Dear Amiee,
this is me posting just for you!
Ummmmmmmm.... posting under pressure...
I probably have diabeetus. That's no fun. Doctors are being mean to me and making me each uber high sugar and high carbohydrate foodz starting today until thursday, then they're going to make me drink more icky super sugar water and test my blood over three hours. So, not looking forward to that. This super sugared diet makes me feel like craaaaaaaaaap. I think I'm vibrating. Am I vibrating? Think I'm vibrating.
Um... I just went to the grocery store to buy dog food. That went well. Returned home successfully with dog food. I also bough three different consistencies of cheeses.
Recently found out there's no set number of geese in a gaggle. Had been thinking there was a set number like in a murder of crows.
I saw Public Enemies the other day. I would've invited you to come, but I didn't know I was going to the movies til we were almost there. Has you seen it? Johnny Depp was cool.
We should go to Horace lake sometime this week.
My friend has baby chicks and I want to play with them.
Justin threw my houseplant in the trash the other day because it didn't have any more blooms on it. Guess he didn't get that if it was green, that meant it's stilll aliiiiive. :-( RIP Emmy's longest living houseplant.
OH! Butters died last week. Think he got too cold with the air conditioner on. Or, it was just his time. He was my fish, by the way. I'm not going back to edit this. The next fish is going to be named Spatula or Professor Chaos. Not sure yet.
Ummmm...
I'm in a new band. Pretty much the same as my old band except we have a drummer now and we're moving out of hipstery pretentiousness and moving in a different direction. Band name ideas are The Bi-Polar Bears and Quicker by Rail and some other stuff. We shall probably decide on one at tomorrow's rehersal.
Ummmmm...
I think that's about it.
Toods, Amz.

Toods, Amz.
Hihi everyone. Just an update on stuff that's been going on, because I keep this journal so I can look back at it later, and I get mad at myself when I leave chunks of time missing.
Um so it's been about a month since the last real update.
Let's review:
The day after my last real post was the NH Heartwalk, which my mom runs. Some bozo designed a finish line banner that wasn't weighed down and balanced properly, so of course, it fell on someone. My first thought when I heard was "crap, mom's going to be pissed someone was hurt at her event". Turns out it fell on her. Better than on the little girl who was standing there some time before, and better than on someone who'd sue everyone's patootie. She was pretty injured, though, and still isn't back at work. She hates her job, though, so it's good she's getting a break from the crazy stress.
The day after mom got hurt, Scott wound up in the ER with a brain injury and had to be held overnight. Remind anyone of the concussion/scissors incident from maybe 4 or 5 years ago? It's in this LJ if you dig enough. Basically mom wound up in the ER at the same time Scott wound up in a different ER for a different reason. Fun times.
Whaaat else...
For Mother's day, Justin bought me a houseplant. I'm happy to say that it's still alive.
Dad had a tumor removed yesterday from his kidney. It's getting biopsied to see if it's cancerous (the odds were high that it is). They got it all out before it spread, so if it was cancer, it's already out anyway, so they won't have to do any more about that. They left a big stone in there that they couldn't get out yet, and they're going to retrieve later. As far as I've heard, he's doing fine now.
Scotty graduated from high school, and Jimmy Jang went back to Korea.
Ainsley's doing good. I'm at almost 25 weeks now. She's kicking and rolling and punching like crazy. I'm getting kicked in parts of my tummy that i didn't know I had. I'm gaining weight at a good rate. I'm only 3 pounds more than where I should have been when I started my pregnancy, but I'm 12 pounds more than I was at my first appointment 11ish weeks ago. So I'm still small, but I'm not starving, which is good enough.
Annnd... yep. Can't think of much else. Excursions within the last month have included:
*Franconia Falls with Justin
*The beach with Ben and Darcie to fly kites
*Boston aquarium where I found out pregnancy makes me afraid of heights (and then a nasty walk to the apple store. We really couldn't just drive there?) with Justin
*Hanging out in Boston for another reason I don't remember
*Seeing the Decemberists VIP (also in Boston) with Chris and Laura
*Mom kidnapped me and took me to her house for craft time, and the next day I kidnapped her and stayed at her house for craft time...

Howdy howdy howdy.
So guess what?
It's a girl!
Yeah, everyone who reads this already knows. :-)
So, yes. Had an ultrasound on Thurs. Right when we started, we started with a view of her face. She was looking at us like "ugh, you're spying on me again? Can't I get any privacy?"
She was curled up all tight again, which frustrated the tech. So we did the lie on one side, lie on another side, empty bladder, do a handstand thing so the tech could check out her heart and spine. We almost weren't able to see baby's parts, but near the end she probably figured she'd better get unshy so we would buy her pink stuff instead of blue.
It went like this:
"I don't think we'll be able to find out the gender today... oh, wait, I know what it is. It's a gehl!" (The tech had an english accent).
After the scan, I had a visit with a doctor who went over the results of it. They found an Echogenic Intracardiac Focus (a bright white spot) on her heart. It's most likely a calcium deposit that will go away within a few months, so it shouldn't be anything to worry about. She said that it's more common to see these on babies with Down's Syndrome, but my Nuchal Translucency test at 14 weeks said there was a 1 in more than 10,000 chance that the baby has Down's. So even if the EIF means the chances had doubled, the doctor said I shouldn't be worried at all.
Every thing else looked good. She weighed 11 ounces, and measured up exactly right for her age. My uterus is the right size and in the right position. I gained 4 pounds since my last visit (victory!), so she says she's my weight gain's looking good. I'm healthy in every other way, except that I'm still vomiting sometimes- no fun, but normal enough. So, yes. Successful visit.
So I spent the rest of Thursday wandering around the house saying "liiiitttle giiiiirrrrllll".
Then Darcie and I bought lots of pink stuff that's filling up the baby section of the closet pretty quickly.
And then we kidnapped Poco Amigo and brought him to my mom's house. We gave him a clown face. His clown name is Fancypants. :-D
Justin and I did the baby registry at Babies R Us yesterday (you can find it easily on the website). We threw in a 500ish dollar pool and some silly things when we got to a point where we were were saying "scan this... scan this... this, too... scan this..." We were told to put 250 items on our list. We made it to about 200 before we ran out of silly things to scan.
Hmmm what else...
I'm making bread. It smells good.
Pretty sure it's going to be gone by the time Justin comes home. :-)

I haven't gained any weight since my first prenatal appointment four weeks ago.
So, Operation Cheezburger is now in action.
...hm, don't like cheeseburgers.
Ok, Operation Stop Eating Mostly Oatmeal and Fruit and Start Eating More Fattening Stuff is underway.
Mk, good plan.
So anyways, had a quick check up today. Everything looks good, aside from being underweight still. Uterus is the right size and position, heartbeat is strong and was 150 bpm. Bambino kept moving around when the doctor was trying to count the heart rate. Lol, she'd find it and then Bambino would roll to the other side like "hey, stop spying on me". It was pretty cute.
Also, Elvis makes really big messes for such a little dog. He doesn't shred things, but he pulls down or digs out anything he can find made of fabric and scatters it around the house. It'd be more annoying if he didn't make piles of towels and attempt to tunnel through them.

(Noting that the SF has killed 80ish out of more than 1000 people there so far, and taking the American assumption that Mexicans have poor hygiene and sanitation into account). I'm just gonna throw this out there and say I think people who have developed swine flu who are from northern areas (like canada, which has had the mildest cases so far) are less affected by it because they've probably gotten a new flu every year. The regular flu spreads fastest in the cold, and slowest where it's warm, because the virus thrives better in cold. Since Mexico is so warm, the regular flu doesn't spread very well because it has a harder time staying alive. So Mexican immune systems aren't as used to combating it. When I lived in the desert, no one I knew got the flu. When I live here in NH, it's an unavoidable yearly thing we deal with.
So, yeah.
Also, watching the disease spread makes me want to play Pandemic on addictinggames.com, so that's what I've been doing recently. I like to critique the swine flu for not laying low until it reaches Madagascar.
Also, let's move to Madagascar!!
Also, when I tell Elvis not to do something (he's a trouble maker), Eva will go across the room and find a toy and play with it while making sure he's watching. When he gets jealous of her toy he runs over and she lets him have it so he can play with that instead of chewing up my shoe/bra/undies/shirt/towel/ovenmit/what everelsehe'sgottenhisteethon.
She's a good girl. She likes to play mommy dog.
